We’re just 18 DAYS away from
HITCHED Palm Springs. We’re busy in the design stages in hopes to
INSPIRE all who attend this ever so hip event! We’re excited to be paired up with super-florist Luna at
Arrangements.
Here is a peek at our inspiration for the HITCHED. We are aiming for army chic vs. ballerina glam. We love the combination of the army green with bright pops of neon grapefruit. Hints of gold accents, art deco, mod + a bit of glam will all be rolled up into our tablescape. Grab tickets soon and we hope to party down with you at The Ace!

We’re giddy over here. Our very first official giveaway to one very lucky reader. You have the opportunity to win $65.00towards any specialty item! Everything from kitchen appliances to modern bedding could be yours via any CSN online store! Brides to be….this contest is perfect for you as you start to begin picking out items for your new home together.

as we celebrate tonight, we look back on 2010 with gratitude. we are thankful for and blessed by our friends, family and C+C couples (who have become dear friends). thank you for all of your support through the year!
happy new year!
love, AC + HC
Dear 2010,
You were so good to us. What an overwhelming, abundantly blessed year we had. The opportunities, the new friends, the weddings, the laughs and lessons we’ve shared have been just incredible. I know how cliche this may sound, but we are so incredibly thankful. The growth that we’ve seen brings us to tears and at times, we cannot believe we get to be creative and plan weddings over and over again. As we prepare for some time off to relax, and soak in the final memories of 2010, we wanted to take a moment to stop and say thank you for sharing in our journey and CHEERS to what’s in store for 2011.
Love, Ashlyn Carter & Heather Cook
Just a few of our favorite memories from this past year….

…and many, many more to come in 2011. Merry Christmas!!!
This table was inspired by fashion – gold sequins, heart lockets, hot shades of purple and confetti fill this modern table with lots of fun color. The bold shades of fuschia against the dark rustic wood table with sprinkled confetti screams celebration! We designed a fun, colorful garland made of fuchsia, warm pink and purple-tone folded paper strung together with thread. The gold place mats were made out of gold card stock lined with gold sequins, and the heart shaped menus were designed to resemble old fashioned heart lockets.
This table is perfect for a jazzy wedding celebration, but also just a great for your New Years bash! For a DIY on our sparkly swizzle sticks, see our feature on The City Cradle here!

I love this time of year. The sequins are out in full force in time for holiday celebrations, and yet this year, there seems to be more of it than ever before. Sequins are IN and I think here to stay for 2011. Bridesmaid trends come and go, but for 2011, we’re seeing lots of NEW, which makes us so exited. Neutral tones paired with a pencil skirt and ruffled top is all the rage — leaving your ‘maides’ with a smile. Everyone looks good…and yes! you really can wear it again and again.
Here are a few shots from our recent photoshoot we styled by Jill Thomas. All of these looks are from Charlotte Russe(!!! ) Easy on the eyes AND the budget. I love this trend, and I sure hope it’s here to stay for a long time to come….

I must admit — I love flowers and flower arranging. It’s something we don’t get to do too often since we’re wrapped up in the rest of the details of the big day, but I jump at the opportunity to do so for smaller events. Here are a few shots of a few recent arrangements I made for a small holiday event. It was fun to pair succulents and various types of fruit with the rest of the florals! I also found a few artificial gold artichokes at the flower mart to incorporate into the look.
We hope you’re enjoying this holiday season! Photos + flowers by Ashlyn Carter of Carter & Cook.
