Cannot, cannot, cannot get enough of these photos Studio Castillero took of our fun-loving couple, Paige & Kyle. The colors, the bubbles…that RUG. You will see more of that rug, by the way. Love them all, and love Paige & Kyle even more so. We’ve been working to design a gorgeous wedding day full of bright color & pizzaz up at the Condors Nest Ranch in August. These photos have us excited for what’s just around the corner!!

Kaitlyn & Justin’s wedding was a dream. Not only are they an insanely gorgeous couple, but their beautiful personalities ooze with kindness and love for all those around them. We had such a wonderful time working with the couple to help carry out their vision for the wedding day. We cannot wait to share more of the incredible details, but let’s just say, it will be worth the wait. For now, here’s a peek at what’s to come from the talented Bonnie Tsang.

Where oh were do we begin with these two adorable love birds? This has been one of our favorite weddings to plan! The “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” themed wedding stemmed from Missy’s love for the movie, as well as breakfast! It was refreshing to work with a couple who wanted to think outside of the box and do things differently. They chose the HammerSky Vineyards in Paso Robles, CA as a destination spot to say “I do”. I fall in love more and more with these photos by Jill Thomas the more we look back on the memories…she is certainly incredible.

As guests arrived, they were greeted with a coffee bar to sip out of vintage tea cups, before and during the ceremony. Afterwards, they ventured down the hill to an incredible view of vineyards where they enjoyed the mimosa bar and the reception which served a delicious full course breakfast — omelet station and all!

Some of our favorite aspects of the breakfast themed affair were all the details, the intimate setting and of course the beautiful couple. It was a beautiful day and after the party, guests rode off for wine tasting with the newlyweds….

Missy & Chad — thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of planning such a special day for you both. We enjoyed every minuet of it and wish you two the best of luck in your new life together. We love you guys!!

A couple of weeks ago we had the honor of spending the afternoon with Rico and Rachel with Studio Castillero, romping around Mission Hills in giant succulent gardens, enjoying the warm hints of summer. Rico & Rachel took our photos and I don’t think we stopped laughing the entire time. This married couple sure makes the perfect team. They gave us such wonderful direction and put us at ease from the get-go. I mean, it is quite challenging to shoot two gal-pals together when you’re used to shooting couples in love… : )

Rachel & Brett are some of the SWEETEST, most spirited and fun loving couples we have been blessed to work with. Their interaction together is precious and we can’t get enough of the way Brett makes Rachel laugh…all the time. So sweet!

I couldn’t say enough good things about Shane & Becky. Their fun & sweet personalities are contagious to be around & the love they share for each other is complete perfection! Pair this couple with one of our very first C&C weddings, Lisa & Derren Raser — now Raser Photography {!!!} and we’ve got a GREAT spring wedding! We are super excited to be a part of Becky & Shane’s day coming up at the end of May. Oh! And today is Becky’s birthday…Happy Birthday Becky!!!

Last weekend we ventured up the coast to beautiful Paso Robles wine country for Missy & Chad‘s gorgeous wedding. It was a breathtakingly perfect day. Here are a few candid polaroid snapshots taken by photographer, Jill Thomas. Trust us, there are *lots* of exciting & pretty little details to come…Happy Weekend!

Recently the Carter and Cook team had the chance to be pampered by the best skin care professionals in San Diego. This wasn’t our first visit to FACES+, but each time we leave we are even more impressed than the last visit. From the moment we walked in we were treated to the best care, thanks to Chelsie Dillard and Danielle Spitters, RN. The services we received are some of the ideal treatments for a bride who wants her skin to be in tip top shape for her special day.

After changing into a cozy robe, Chelsie had us relax in her heated (<–yes, heated!!!) treatment bed, while giving our faces the “skin prep”. The prep starts with deep pore cleansing, followed by microdermabrasion to smooth the skin’s texture and reduce scarring, pigmentation, and wrinkles while gently exfoliating dead skin cells from the surface. After applying the enzyme and doing a few extractions (sadly, some of us require more than others…), our skin was ready for the laser treatment! We were then led into Danielle’s laser room where we got to lie on another heated bed and experience the Laser Genesis Skin Rejuvenation. This helps with redness, large pores, uneven skin texture, fine lines, scarring, acne and rosacea. After the Laser Genesis, Chelsie applied a soothing mask to calm and hydrate our pores. With the mask on, she treated us with LED light therapy to stimulate collagen production while penetrating the active ingredients of the mask down into our pores at their deepest level. She finished up by applying custom serums and moisturizers to fit each of our skin’s needs. Each treatment was so relaxing and everything smelled delicious!

And if that wasn’t enough, we ended our day at FACES+ our first ever airbrush spray tan! The SunFX Airbrush Spray Tan is 100% natural and organic and Chelsie applies it with a hand held airbrush wand for the most amazing, streak-free tan. Mine lasted at least 7 days, maybe more! I am now a huge fan of the airbrush spray tan and have already scheduled my next appointment with Chelsie.
